Beijing Enterprises Water Group Limited
Beijing Enterprises Water Group Limited (BEWG) is a flagship enterprise devoted to the recycling of water resources and the protection of water ecology subordinated to BG. It is listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (Red Chip, stock code: HK00371), topping the list of "Top Ten Influential Enterprises in Water Industry " for fifteen consecutive years. BEWG is a comprehensive and leading professional water and environment service provider with its business covering industrial investment, design, construction, operation, technical services and capital operation in full industrial chain, with its water treatment capacity among the top tier in the industry in China.
As of December 31, 2024, its services cover 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan regions), more than 100 prefecture-level cities, as well as 9 overseas countries including Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Angola, Botswana and Saudi Arabia. It has more than 20,000 employees worldwide and operates 1,472 water plants and township sewage treatment facilities, including 1,224 sewage treatment plants and township facilities, 174 water supply plants, 73 reclaimed water treatment plants and 1 seawater desalination plant, with a total designed capacity of 43.74 million tons per day.
A sewage treatment plant under BEWG faces challenges in sludge treatment: high organic content in residual sludge, difficult dewatering, large fluctuations in chemicals consumption, high consumption per unit of dry sludge, high chemical unit price, and high sludge moisture content. After dewatering by centrifuge, a highpressure stackedplate process is adopted to further reduce sludge moisture content to approximately 50%.
Solution
Our technical team conducted in-depth discussions and leveraged our unique advantage as the only enterprise in the industry capable of large-scale selection. Through beaker experiments, we selected the best-matched cationic polyacrylamide from more than 100 models of our company, which features large sludge flocs, high filtrate volume per unit time and cost advantage.
Result
1. Sludge moisture content decreased to 71.82% after using Shouxin brand polyacrylamide. The downstream laminated process further reduced moisture content from 50% to 45%, significantly lowering sludge disposal costs.
2. Chemical consumption reduced by 31.8%.
3. SS (suspended solids) reduced by 46.9%.
Operation Data Comparison

From the comparison of the two days' operation data:
1.Shouxin PAM has a lower Unit Consumption (3.31 kg/tDS), saving about 31.8% compared with the client's original other brand reagent.
2.The moisture content is lower. The moisture content during Shouxin PAM operation is 71.82%, while the moisture content when the client uses other brand reagents is 73.08%.
3.The SS content is lower. The average value of Shouxin PAM is 316.8 mg/L, while the average value when the client uses other brand reagents is 596.8 mg/L.
