Guangdong Shouxin Environmental Protection Materials Technology Co., Ltd., established in 2007, is the Founder of Global Polyacrylamide Brand with Stable Quality. Through intensive collaborations with Academician Shen Yinchu (Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Father of Polyacrylamide in China, Father of Biological Pesticides in China), and Academician Phil S. Baran (Member of the National Academy of Sciences, Postdoctoral Associate at Harvard University and Professor at Scripps Research) as well as university research teams, our company has successfully developed over 100 distinct product models. Currently, Shouxin offers four core product series: cationic, anionic, nonionic, and amphoteric polyacrylamide. These innovations have garnered significant industry recognition and clients trust across diverse applications such as water treatment, paper manufacturing, mineral processing, and oilfield operations. Shouxin conducts formula R&D with a focus on stable product quality. Polyacrylamide was first synthesized by Moureu via reaction of acryloyl chloride and ammonia at low temperature.

American Cyanamid Company filed the first patent for synthesizing polyacrylamide.

Polyacrylamide was entered commercial production in America. The first generation was sulfuric acid catalytic hydration technology, which was complex with high cost and low purity. The initial type was nonionic polyacrylamide, then anionic polyacrylamide was produced.

Shanghai Tianyuan Chemical Plant built the first polyacrylamide production unit to produce hydrosol products. It was not widely promoted and used due to the limitations in viscosity, fluidity and solubility of the products.

Dow Chemical (USA) and Mitsui Chemicals (Japan) developed the second-generation binary or ternary skeletal copper-catalyzed production technology. This technology is characterized by virtually no waste water, waste gas, or waste residue, is easy to industrialize, and contains a small amount of addition by-products.

Following the successful development of the cationic monomer acryloyloxyethyltrimethylammonium chloride (DAC) in Japan, cationic polyacrylamide was then put into production.

Academician Shen Yinchu developed the "10,000-ton microorganism catalysis method for producing acrylamide", which achieved the large-scale production of polyacrylamide.

The polyacrylamide market in China became highly active, with dozens of manufacturers having emerged. However, most of these manufacturers, constrained by limitations in formulation, production processes, development scope, and production costs, resulted in unstable product quality, relatively limited product models, and inadequate application compatibility.

Shouxin officially established itself as a global polyacrylamide brand with stable quality, to develop more variety, more stable, and more matched polyacrylamide models for global users.

Shouxin was established specializing in water treatment chemical raw materials.

Shouxin shifted its focus to polyacrylamide and set up dedicated teams for R&D, quality control, sales and after-sales service.

The number of listed companies and Fortune 500 companies exceeded 100, Shouxin received the "Best Stable Quality Award" from the National Functional Polymer Industry Association.

Shouxin's product throughput exceeded 60,000 tons. It supplied 2.5 billion tons of recycled water annually, and helped save RMB 8.75 billion in cost. Shouxin has been awarded the title of "Chairman Unit" by the most authoritative official organization in the industry and received the "National Polyacrylamide Innovation Award — Scale Selection".

Shouxin has been recognized as a National High-tech Enterprise.

2025 Shouxin was recognized as the "Top 100 Enterprises of IE Expo China" and honored with the "Exclusive Brand Award for China Polyacrylamide Industry — Decade-Long Quality Stability (2015–2025)".
