Anionic Polyacrylamide
Anionic Polyacrylamide
Overview
Anionic Polyacrylamide (APAM) is a water-soluble linear flocculant polymer, synthesized from acrylamide and acrylate. It neutralizes surface charges of suspended particles in water to promote flocculation, resulting in particle destabilization. The destabilized particles then adsorb to each other via bridging through the active groups of the polymer, ultimately forming larger flocs.
Specification
| Appearance | Solid content (%) | Molecular weight (M) | Hydrolysis degree (%) | Dissolution time (min) |

Advantages
Compact flocs, fast settling rate, and low dosage requirements.
High level of water clarification after process.
Wide applicable pH range (5-14).
Good compatibility with inorganic coagulant.
Application Fields
Sewage flocculation and sedimentation
Sludge dewatering
Additive thickening
Construction and shield slurry
Oil industry
River dredging
Minerals selection and sewage disposal
Sand washing and sludge dewatering
Storage and Precautions
The product is non-toxic, water-soluble, and may cake if moistened.
In case of hands or skin contact, rinse immediately and thoroughly with water.
Store in a dry place at temperatures between 5°C and 40°C.
The prepared liquid polyacrylamide solution should not be stored for extended periods. Storage beyond 24 hours may reduce its efficacy.
It is recommended to use low-hardness water with a neutral pH (6-9) to dissolve polyacrylamide. Using groundwater or reclaimed water will result in reduced product effectiveness.
